Odd 110 Blade

When you cut that chicken was it on a china plate? Ceramic plate-Rockwell ~90.Buck 110-Rockwell~56-57 I dulled a brand new one carving a bird in Peru once. Took me a while to figure out what happened.:eek:
 
my 110FG is very badly centered when closed ,( all the way to the left) the blade pushes against the liner . i can push it with my thumb to where it should be , but it then goes back to being against the liner . it locks up like a vault though , and i bought it to use , plus i`m in australia, so it would be a lot of messing around to send it back.
 
Looks like the grind was a tad off, but that could be rectified in five minutes by just sharpening it -- DMT hones work great with Buck steel (and most others). Even a fine jewellers file would work to correct that. No biggie...
 
Ok WOW great responses, proud to be a member of this community. I actually received a gift certificate to Sears. I will get all the neccesary stones and things. Is there any particular brand or style i should get there. I have a 50 dollar limit.
