Odd question: using a pricey slippie???

Brett use it.

Others have said it so well. I use all of mine including my Steve Schwarzer damascus slippie, although the wife tells me it's too pretty to use;) It's a pleasure to use & built like a tank. I'ld to think makers get satisfaction out of seeing their knives used. As a sheathmaker I'ld rather have things I've made used & meet peoples needs I find it more worthwhile.

I do worry about this quite a bit when it comes to guns, but I don't have a knife that is pricey enough to make me lose sleep over it. If I had a Bose or a Ken Erickson knife or some such, I would most definitely use it. The main attraction for getting one would be to get a good using pattern that is not widely available.

Now, when it comes to guns, I lost a lot of sleep over an unfired Colt Python last year. I finally sold it, mainly because it was worth so much more than I had in it, and although it is a fine gun, when it comes to revolvers, I am more a single action fan. On the other hand, I have a couple of very nice Woodsmans that I shoot regularly, but that particular model was a favorite of my dad's when he was alive, so I could never part with a Woodsman because of that.

Get one you REALLY like and use it. They can always be refurbed etc. You're paying for the quality and by that definition, it should last

Brett, as I have gotten older, all the older than me men have always said, Use it or lose it.:D

But, I do EDC my Bose Peanut every single day and do use it.
No Regrets on either.
