I hope it's OK to post this here, not sure. I have a 15" Rajkumar bowie with a red sheath. The little brass piece from the end of the scabbard has gone missing. No biggie I guess but, it drives me batty. I'm hoping someone has had a custom sheath done and doesn't need the old one. If so PM or email me. The one I would need would be relatively smallish. Thanks in advance.

Did you sort through the whole pile, I know that might take a couple of days or more but that piece shouldn't just go walk about.

I'll check, I doubt that it has to be a 15" specifically a 12" might work too.

I don't think I got a 15", wait, I do to by golly, I just got a big one a few months back. I'll go through my sheath box.

B'Man the actual sheath size doesn't matter I think. I just need an end piece. I guess closer would be better to the original. Thanks a ton.

I'll dig around tonight or for sure this weekend. I'm sure there's something in there that will work.

Way cool! BTW, if you'd ever witnessed my wife rearrange or clean, you'd realize a 59' Cadillac could go walkabout. Just sayin.

Must be related to mine. Not a bare flat surface anywhere.

She uses the avalanche storage mode. Grab one thing and 28 others fall out. If you can open a drawer, there's plenty of room for more junk in that one.

We probably got junk from 59 still stored in cabinets.

Still have phone books!!!! She's a gem.

Mine is the opposite. Echo, McCulluch, Stihl, Homelite, Jonsered, Husqvarna chainsaw parts all look the same to her. Now one big pile. Pentax, Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Mamiya, Minolta camera parts all look the same. Now one pile. Winchester, Remington, Mauser, Enfield, Springfield, Colt, S&W....... Well you get the picture. Wide open spaces, lots of clear area, can't find a darn thing. When in doubt throw it out. Safes are my best friend.

I looked through my sheath box and darned if I can find a sheath for my 15" Lachu. I'm wondering if I didn't get that one without a sheath. Seems like I got one with it.
I'll have to look around more, it was dark out there, thought I might not have got it to the box yet too but don't see it in my man cave.

Maybe something off one of the others will work if I don't find it.

I'm no metalworker but it shouldn't be hard to make a chape. Get a small sheet of brass or copper at the local hardware store, cut out a wedge-shaped piece with aircraft shears or a hacksaw, wrap it around the tip of the sheath and use solder or epoxy to fix the shape. I'd attach it to the leather with a softer glue, which seems to be how the original chapes are attached (which is why they sometimes fall off). If the brass piece that you cut out isn't the right shape or doesn't fit, just cut out another piece.

Some people use liquid rubber as an easy way to replace a missing chape and reinforce the tip of the sheath, but that might not look good enough on a Rajkumar red sheath.

Maybe ask Auntie? I bet she has an odd sheath or cap laying around she would toss in with your next haul.[emoji3]

I did ask Auntie first. However, you knowing her can imagine the priority level. I chose not to burden her further.

I'm not done looking yet either. Sure seems like I got a sheath with that knife.
Just about anything will have to probably be modified a bit to fit right as no two are exactly alike.

I'm sure one of the other sheaths might be close, I just need to look more thoroughly.
Super wet and windy here and I don't got electricity in my shop so the lighting wasn't ideal.

Brother Bawanna, I'm in no hurry.

PS: I dug it out and it's only 12" not 15". Could never fool the ladies either.

Take care and Stay Safe Bawanna. Sounds like it is going to get worse tomorrow. Hopefully you can stay hunkered down and don't have anywhere you need to be this weekend.

Yea, we getting the storm too, but nothing like what you're getting up in the Pacific Northwest. I saw the weather radar this morning, I bet you got hammered.

Scary...familiar.. keeps me up at night checking trash bags.

Great looking blade, send it on over for 'repair'.

YUREKA! I found it. It hadn't made it out to the sheath box in the shop yet. It was still in a staging area in my nice warm well lit man cave. Go figure.

Anyhow I got it off with a little heat gun action and gently prying and it's ready to come live with you.

PM me your address and if we're not living on an Ark I'll try to get it sent out Monday.

Hoping it fits.

That's not really a Bowie proper either. Not sure what that's called but Bowies are pretty straight, well some got a curve to them, especially the early Bura bowies that I know Ndog has a few of. Guess they don't call dogs lucky for nothing.

Bawanna you be the man! I can't thank you enough! I know it's not a text book bowie but, I didn't know what the heck to call it. I searched through the archives forever to try and find it to no avail. Probably something Mr. Tall could find in five minutes, he's amazing that way. Thanks again, I'll PM you the info. Stay dry and afloat in the mean time. I was ignorant to the fact you were experiencing foul weather in the PNW.

Let me know if that one dont work BB. I got one from a 21" Siru you could trim down to fit. I made one for another knife I have and you cant tell the difference from Sarki made. Its a bit of a pain trying to get the points centered in the right place but after a couple attempts I learned how to make them. I use thick brass shim stock and solder them. I use hot glue as do the Sarkis.
