Odd Request for part.

Now that I've paid more attention to your photos, I think the sheath would look better with a chape-shaped coating of liquid rubber to reinforce the tip, rather than a traditional brass chape. That's because of the matt finish and dull red color of the leather. Also, black rubber would match the color of the frog. It's not a traditional model knife, so there's no compelling reason to preserve the traditional brass chape.

Maybe the gods willed that brass chape to fall off. Of course it's your knife, your preference, etc. I'm just expressing an "artistic" opinion. :)

Good points. His sheath looks good even without, much nicer than mine.

I guess BB can hold up the Chape and see how that looks. Use it for a pattern if he decides to go the coating route.

Matching the Frog would be pretty cool too.

You must be one of them fella's born with a fully functioning brain...........

B'Man, just got done making yhe the chape out of the one you sent me. OMG, it came out perfectly. It actually matches exactly where the old chape was. It was not because of my skill sets, just straight up good luck or Karma. All thanks to you, you made the opportunity available. Mucho Thanks!

Want to wager against my claims? I'd be more than willing. Pictures will follow in the day light.

Nothing I'd like to lose, but the standard around here is "no pic, then it didn't happen"...man can't live on words alone, we need "eye candy" too...lol

Pic er it dint happen;) Mr B always comes thru:thumbup:

Thanks B'Man!!!

Please note. Our chihuahua loves pink, he also dislikes female dogs, that's his favorite blanket. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :p

That replacement sure did fit perfectly, nice job getting it on there so right.

Well, after much searching, I've found the item to be a Vojpuri Bowie, aka Sher Bowie if I'm not mistaken. Where the heck is Grand Maester Tall when you need him? He must be getting old and sleeping on the job.
