Hey guys,
Up for grabs are some testing blades, prototypes, and messed up blades that I never intended to sell but I think people will still enjoy.
First up is a damaged bush sword prototype. I ground this one too thin and during testing badly rolled the edge on a knot. I have since tried to grind out the rolls and and thickened up the edge. This piece is completely unfinished. The bevels and scales are very roughly done. There is still a visible roll in the edge that extends into the bevel. I have since done some more testing and chopping with this blade and it performs well. Buy at your own risk.
36in overall, .180 CPM 3V HT to 59-60 with the Keffeler protocol for maximum toughness.
$125 shipped. Paypal is huntsmanknifeco AT gmail DOT com
Next up is my long time user EDC. Its been tested over the past 3 years and has performed admirably. It has some pitting on the bevel but its pretty mild. Finish is jacked up from all the use and resharpening on stones in the field. It is sharp and ready for more adventures. This is a complete tank of a knife.
.22thick 3.75in blade orange and black G10 scales.
CPM 3V HT to 62
$55 shipped

Next is a Z wear Fjord hiker test blank. Middle blade in photos. I have been using this one in the shop for the past year or so to see how Z wear perfoms in hard tasks. It has been used for deburring, cutting sand paper, and lots of other hard tasks. Finished at a paltry 120 grit with jacked up/ unsmoothed plunges and uneven swedges. It was quickly ground to be a test piece. Has a fresh very thin edge. Would be great with a cord wrap or as a project knife to put scales on.
.21 thick Z wear HT to 60-61, 4.75in blade
$49 shipped

Finally we have a 3V hacksaw blank that was jacked up during grinding. Top blade in photos. I was trying to nail a full height convex and didn't quite manage it. There is also a very slight divot in the bevel where I messed up while grinding. Its pretty much ground out and you can't see it but you can feel a very slight depression if you run your finger over it. It has a really thin edge and will be a great slicer. Would be great with a cord wrap or as a project knife to put scales on.
CPM 3V HT to 62, a little over 1/8th thick.
