Been gone for the past week, family trip to the NC mountains for my daughters wedding. I chose a new knife to carry in my blue suit pants pocket - needed flat, light, smooth, useful, high quality (of course!) and unobtrusive if needed. I bought a new Buck 524 Alumni - it met all the criteria and was dirt cheap ($15.00 OTD with a sale at Sportsman's Warehouse combined with their military discount). I am amazed at this little knife; used it for small tasks my daughter, wife, and myself needed doing, as well as carrying for general use the rest of the week. You really cannot even tell you are carrying a knife but if you need one it is Buck sharp right out of the package. This one will get more use than just being used on wedding day. OH
Ps As you cannot see in the second picture - no way to tell I'm carrying a pocketknife!

Congratulations to you and your daughter. It looks like a great place for a wedding. Years ago I went to a family gathering near Little Switzerland. It can't be too far from where you were.

I agree you have a Beautiful Daughter. Why is she with that old guy? Ha!Ha! Just Kidding...Looks like you put on a Beautiful Wedding also, Congrats....

P.S. That is a purdy cool knife and the best part is it's USA made....

If that knife had a key chain option I would use it. Otherwise it will fall backwards out of my pocket to never never land in my car.

Thanks Gents, I know I'm her father, but she really was a beautiful bride! A hole drilled in the Buck 524 would be handy for some, but a bail would rule the knife out for my use as a dress/gents knife (needing a real flat profile). OH

Wouldn't a bail serve that purpose?

OH, I guess I'm on both sides of the bail now...What if it came with a small leather sleeve if it had a bail, then you could use it either way and would still be flat in your pocket...Just day dreaming...

David, it was a great day for me and for my family - my wife had rented a big cabin so my 82 year old Dad and Mom could stay with us for the week along with the bride and her maid of honor and my son, my brother, etc. The views from the house and the wedding venue were spectacular. The vendors we hired gave 110% effort, the venue people were terrific in making sure everything happened well and on time. I really can't say enough how happy we were with the entire event. My daughter and her new husband were thrilled about the whole event - and that boy has real potential - gave him a Buck 110 last Christmas which he really liked and have begun to teach him to duck hunt (that way they'll be sure to be home for Christmas each year!) OH

Congratulations to the newlyweds and you and your wife. Glad all went well and that your SIL is getting the OH treatment:D Preston
