I thought I would pay tribute to a knife from a maker that gets vey little kudos these days. I bought this Cold Steel Master Hunter years ago, I would guess it was the early 90's around '92-'93. It has travelled all over the world with me and was the knife I carried every day at work in the bush/jungle/tundra/desert; it shared my belt with my Leatherman Supertool, and my Dan Wesson .357 Mag (the latter while working at home in Canada). In the last few years I have got into higher end knives and don't carry this one anymore, it's been replaced by a Busse Active Duty and a BRKT Bravo-1, but it still seems to make it's way into my duffle bag as a backup everytime I head out into the wilderness on another job.
I won't get into the politics of why I have stopped buying Cold Steel products, there are lots of threads out there on why we should all hate Cold Steel, but praise should be given where and when it is deserved, and given what this knife has gone through and survived, praise is certainly warranted!!
