Congrats on the first deer kill. You always remember your first (just like other things in life). Looks like the Basic 4 did a great job on the cleaning too.

Just some unsolicited advice: I never completely split the pelvis for the reasons shown in your picture. The meat stays a lot cleaner if you leave it whole.

You mean looking at that shot of it in the truck? The bone itself wasn't split but you can see I sliced the meat up a lot. The groin area is where I had trouble. I couldn't really get it based on the instructions I had. I basically knew to just remove everything without popping something. My butcher said I left "a bit" behind, but he didn't care. Thanks man!

No problem with the clean up at all mate, a wipe down with a wet rag and it looked like NEW..
