Does anybody have any suggestions or recommendations for decent rust preventative/lubricant for blades and leather treatments for sheaths that would be odorless (for bowhunting whitetails)?
Thanks in advance and what a great forum.
For blades, just use a good metal polish like Metal glo, flitz or the like before the hunt. A good polisher will act as a rust inhibitor and they are virtually odor free. Buff the blade out good and it will act as a protectant.
Bees wax doesn't smell to me...not sure if a deer can smell it.
I use this wax on my sheaths and it is a great weather proofer.
