Must post a pic of your user and tell why you think it's the best knife for the job.

Here is the JOB... 1 larger blade and 1 smaller blade, are the only knives you have.

Family camping trip, just husband and wife, no kids. You've got an axe but you also have your big woods knife. Why use an axe when you can chop down a tree for fire with a knife, my thoughts anyways:)

So you have made camp, have a fire going, just relaxing... "BOOM!!!" You see the mushroom cloud off in the distant. Now your camping trip is a survival trip. You glad you still brought those two knives?

My Sarsquatch would be my bigger blade. I'm torn between TGLB or a boss street or a fixed blade strider for my smaller knife.

You get the sense of here I'm going. Pick two knives that can take you from a Sunday afternoon picnic to full on invasion be it either "Zombies" or more realistic a dirty bomb going off and American is now under attack and you're in the fight.

Please post pics of user knives you have and if you don't use your Busse then I guess you can post them as well.

This is kind of a two-part post as I am trying to see how many knives are being used,. I love seeing a $500 knives getting the heck beat out of them since that's what they're meant to do. I'll post pics of mine either tomorrow or Friday. I realize we would have firearms also but this is knife related only. Everyone forgot to bring the ammo for the guns so they are just hammers now:)

I'll play.

Since I have an axe it would be my SFNO and AD. But some here would say that the SFNO is not a BIG knife. So to satisfy the requirements of this game I'll substitute one of my other favorite knives, a very cool FSH with the most comfortable scales of any knife I own.

Here's the pics. They are both users, but I have not chopped anything with the FSH so it still looks pretty. The AD is a sweet little slicer. :D

By the way, my axe would be a Gransfors Bruks Small Forest Axe.

Killa Zilla for big heavy user for hubby, SAR8 for me. Small users- his EDC HACK, and I'd use a BAD.

Alternative recommendations for your wife, old school MOJO (NICE and light! And my small hands love those old Ergo handles) or 13/11/9-11 :) This is a 1311.

I would take whatever knives I needed to get as far away from the blast zone as possible, or failing that, whatever knives would enable me to get sufficient cover to survive the fallout!

I live in England, and quite near London for that matter, so I don't have the wide open spaces you do to bug out into. My strategy would rely on hunkering down under cover while I wait for the Royal Navy to find out who nuked us and then wipe them off the face of the earth. I wouldn't need much of a knife beyond a Swiss Army knife for that...I've got a feeling the can opener would be the most used tool on the knife!

Zombies? Ah, well that's different. As you know from 28 days later, we Brits aren't too good at zombie apocalypses, so in that case its a TGLB all the way! for a back up second blade, i'd probably take a Rockstead Higo with YRX7 steel. I have ordered a TGLB, and I'll post a pic of that and my Higo when it arrives!

These two would be/are the ones with me.
Boss Street and DSF

I even have back up's

If I remember correctly, a dirty nuke affects the immediate area, pretty much like a conventional bomb. It all depends on the explosive and amount used. The worst comes after. The amount/ type of radio active material and wind direction are the important factors....... Watch weather/wind reports and HEAD the heck the opposite direction as fast as possible.... Knives?....depends on my pack and mode of transport. AMSMO and NMFBM..... Swiss multi tool too.... Makes me realize that I need a mid size Busse, perhaps Steel Heart....

For me it would be these two:

The CGFBM has been a joy to use for every job I've thrown at it. The SHBA feels great in the hand and will also survive just about anything...it's got a lot more wear to the coating now than in that pic when it was still relatively new...

This might be breaking your rules, but knowing me, this would most likely also be stashed away in my pack, or car, or somewhere nearby if I was in the woods or out and about somewhere while this hypothetical incident happens:

The AMSMO would be nice for the cutting jobs that prove challenging for my slightly obese SHBA geometry ;)

Busse kin here..but after a lot of buying and selling...it's these 2 for me...

That's easy..
The Chuckette' for the big blade..that will out chop an axe anyway..
AND, the Flying MOAB..you just have to choke up on it a bit ;)

PS..I am partial to having a SnakeSkin Culti in my pocket along with my Strider SMF Carry since there is "NO" Busse Folder!!!

Great taste, RPN! Love the resiprene! I definitely like the through-hardened battle rat over the differential-tempered version (aside from the mismatched handle) and IMO there is no topping the 1st gen howler. ;)

Here's my cross-cultural duo...
