The CGFBM has been a joy to use for every job I've thrown at it. The SHBA feels great in the hand and will also survive just about anything...it's got a lot more wear to the coating now than in that pic when it was still relatively new...

I have never understood buying very expensive tools and trading them like baseball cards. Anyway......

My two would be NMFSH and a pork shank

Ouch! Haven't posted in so long my old posts are GONE! Ah... 2009. But I had to post to this thread.

Agreed! But my Howling Rat is a Gen 2 that rests in a River8 (John Carlson) SAR-Style sheath, with essentials pouch. Thanks to 360joules (Troy) who helped me get in touch with John.

 
I've said it before, if you want to cover the full spectrum of knife use go with a beast of a knife and a devastatingly effective mini blade:



You could also manage the finer stuff with a Mud Mutt
