get some staining or rust spots? maybe/probably. "RUST OUT"? not even close.
leave a 1095 blade outside in a monsoon for a week and you'll need ten minutes to get it back in use... People way overblow the rust issue on here.
1095 is tougher, which matters in an all out survival situation. But no one does 440c like Entrek. You owe it to yourself to get one sometime.

Why spend so much? There are a million heavy use knifes aroud 100 or less. Look at Esee, Becker, Condor, and others. They all make excellent knives that fit your needs.
Probably the TOPS. I'm a sucker for some good 1095 not to mention micarta scales. The tops would be stronger because of the full tang design.
Yeah okay, go ahead and do that with your high-carbon steel and get back to me.get some staining or rust spots? maybe/probably. "RUST OUT"? not even close.

??? Care to share some useful information then?
Just out of curiosity...any reason why? Just trying to get into your head a little bit.
I have looked at them. I can get both the entrek or the tops for about 100 new through a friend. He owns both and they have never been used and well cared for that's why I'm choosing one of these 2. I can get a 200$ blade for 100$![]()
