Off center blade on spyderco lockback?

I just got my super blue stretch in the mail and its touching the scale its so off. Anyone else have any issues like this? I didnt think lockback designs could be off center let alone by this much! I'm gonna tinker with it but I was soo shocked by it being off center so much.
 
If it's off so bad it's rubbing the liner I'd send it back to where you bought it. Most spydies I've seen are dead center. Yours must have slipped past QC.

I'd just tighten the pivot because that will probably fix it, at the very least get it away from the scale

But if you're planning to return it don't tough the pivot
 
Yes try tightening the pivot first. I had already assumed you had done that. Send it back if that doesn't work.

Oh, and to stay on topic, I'm big on returning to your dealer. Sounds like the piece is a bit off...I'm sure they will make it right. Sounds like a rare situation with your Spydie...

Again I don't know what you're talking about. I advised the OP to send the knife in for an exchange. I lamented his situation because it's no fun getting an obviously defective knife out of the box. I really don't know what your problem is with me but I would prefer if you keep things on topic because again this thread isn't about me. I don't know what "your world" refers to. This is the general discussion forum last I checked so I'm not sure what that means. I don't know why the official representative of KAI and ZT is trying to instigate drama with a random personal attack against me but it's off topic. Please don't attack me personally. Let's stay on topic. I'd hate for this thread to get closed because of off topic personal attacks.

OP, you should get a replacement if possible. That's the fastest resolution.

For crying out loud, Thomas Welke (hiding behind the Kai Corp. account), this is ridiculous. Your actions on here are more than enough for me to never consider supporting KAI ever again and I definitely will tell anyone asking to buy a knife to not buy a KAI. Thumbs down.
 
My super blue stretch is off as well but not that bad....just got mine last week and it was off to the right side alot but when I tighten pivot it took care of it for most part but still isnt centered.
