For crying out loud, Thomas Welke (hiding behind the Kai Corp. account), this is ridiculous. Your actions on here are more than enough for me to never consider supporting KAI ever again and I definitely will tell anyone asking to buy a knife to not buy a KAI. Thumbs down.
You spelled my name wrong...

Blah blah blah fanglekai, you been bringing your slag on us for far too long...Log off already you inconsistent putz.

Back on topic, Spyderco will take good care of you should you go the corporate route...

I already asked you to please stop with the uncalled for and off topic personal attacks.

And I'll ask you to quit your slag posts and be more consistent...

Back on topic, Occasionally every production company has knives ht the market that are off by a little...it happens in production, appreciate the understanding and patience. In the end the majority of us will ensure you are happy in the end.

OP: If it really bugs you, taking the folder apart and cleaning out the pivot can fix the issue, as can tightening the pivot. It did with my Military. If you don't want to do that, contact Spyderco.

Kai Corp: Lay off the sauce.

Hasn't that been my style over the years?

I don't actually know but, if you say so, I'll trust you. I've always wanted something from the ZT line... though funnily enough Kai's bargain-priced knives have been my favorites recently.

I used to off center. I fixed it by putting a folder in my left pocket. ;)
Tinkering with the pivot a little may help. There are some tricks one can use to center a blade.

PM me an addy and I'll send you something fun...

Yes, it has. I'm still happy with the Shallot. I picked up a couple of black Shallots to rotate with it.

I knew all the reponses couldnt be about a simple backlock, but on topic (not that the off topic isnt great!!) If I tighten pivot more it locks up the blade, so with the pivot all the way down its still hard right. Anything im missing or just a bad egg?

Hi Esav, good to see you. I recently added an additional Shallot as a backup to my current just in case it ever gets discontinued.

To be honest any Spyderco back lock I've owned or handled has been centered. I think you got a bad egg. I'd return it if it was rubbing.

Kershaw and Spyderco both have been a steady favorite of many folks for years. Both great companies with products to match. For good reason too.
