Off-center hex sockets on Sebenza 21- is this science??? Another CRK trade secret?

You could mount one in a drill chuck (unless you have a machine shop of course) and take a little material off the edge with a file. Maybe that'll even things out. If not, hey the screw is already no OK, right?

I appreciate the suggestion, but as mentioned, I am not bothered by this. The screws do their job just fine, and I am not OCD enough to care about the appearance, which is basically something you gotta look for to notice. The purpose of this thread is just my curiosity as to whether this was a purposeful design or just sloppy manufacturing as it seems to affect the balance of my 21s. It seems that the concesus is that it's the latter.

In my fan-boy mind I will continue to pretend this is some unpublished, and fantastic feature to make the knife that much better! :D

Either mine are perfect or I never look close enough to notice this stuff. I just pulled my small out and looked. The male pivot may be slightly off and that's it. First time I've noticed but doesn't bother me. Like the machining marks all over one of my XM-18s, I suppose it gives the knife character as they say.

Now I have a close friend who is somewhat major OCD and has more CRKs than me. If I told him his screw holes might be off center, I could see him taking his glasses off and on, squinting to see if they're a nanometer off.

Understood. Guess I had the thread referenced in post #20 in mind, where there was an issue with the fit of the screws, when I made the suggestion. Better should've posted my reply there then! :-)
