Does syderco fix off center blades? I have a brand new Millie that is pretty off center when closed but not quite rubbing the G10. I talked to Charlynn at Spyderco and the answer I got was send it in and they can look at it if it is covered under warranty or IF THEY CAN FIX IT.. But they did not say how off center a blade must be to consider it a warranty item. So I don't want to waste the cost of shipping just to find out.

Anyone have an idea how customer service at Spyderco handle off center blades on Millies?

My S90V came that way. I removed just the pivot, removed the blade, cleaned everything up, lubed her up good :D and put the blade back in and she came back perfectly centered and has remained so ever since. It may also be a good idea to just loosen all the scale screws and the pivot, then tighten in succession toward the blade. I have found that the scale screws can affect the centering as well as an under or over tightened pivot screw. I have had equal success re-centering with the blade open and the blade closed, depending on the brand and knife.

Slightly off center is fine, but if it really bugs you do what Rick said. Take it apart, put it back together.

Just an FYI, if you can't put it back together, Spyderco will charge you $20 to do so. Don't screw up and lose pieces.

Thanks. I tried all that and IT WORKED! Now the blade is perfectly centered.

WHoo Hooo!

Good to hear it is now perfect.

I've gotten away with loosening the pivot and scale screws and then re- tightening everything. My BG42 is perfectly centered and been like that since.
