Off for a couple of weeks of travelr

Just getting set to pack for my next little excursion into Latin America for buisness.

I'm leaving for Merida tomorrow morning, will be there for two days, then to Mexico City, then to Guatemala City with a weekend stay (trying to arrange a Tikal excersion on the weekend), Honduras on Monday and back to Mexico City/Home for Tues. Then I'm coming home for 2 d, I have to drive up to Peterborough, ON, to be an examiner for 2 MSc defenses, come back home 1 day, then leave for Mississpi for 3 d of buisness. Phew - then I will be back and begin teaching my 2 fall courses! I'm looking forward to having the next 4 mo at home!

I'll try to take some jungle pictures while I'm out. Unfortunately, yet again, my travel schedule is a bunch of small leg air flights and therefore I'm keeping everything packed for carry-on bags. That means no knives and a stripped first-aid kit without the usual knife/fire implements. Ugh - air travel is a real PITA.....

Tikal is a must! When you're there, be sure to climb up to the top of the towers, it is simply amazing.

Hopefully they still allow you to do that. I did climb the pyramids at Chichen Itza back in the early 90's before they closed them to tourist. I have shots looking out of the pyramid top, but they are in slide film.
