Off Grid Knives

cutchu; how do you like that scorpion? looks pretty cool !

From the details on their site, the Scorpion is made by Bestech. I do not own any other Bestech knives, but this is pretty nice. Smooth action, "drop shutty" and has no blade / lock stick. If you are considering one of their knives, I would recommend this one. Looks like they have this model in a few different options.

I have an Off Grid but don't recall the model. It has a combo blade, which I usually like. But it has the worst serrations I have ever had the misfortune to try to cut anything with. It can barely even cut baling twine--just snags instead of slicing.

I have only the Scorpion now, but have been thinking about getting another knife from them. I am impressed with them so far.

I think you'll like it. It is a long knife, but has very quick and smooth and quick action. It has a very solid "thwack" when opened. I am surprised that I do not see more of these around this forum. Maybe just because it has a somewhat "tacticool" look to it. I do not think it is though. The overall finish of the knife is well done. The fitting of the inlay is done well. Many other nice qualities too.

Mine was very sharp when I got it. Something that should be able to be said about all knives when you buy them, but unfortunately, that is not the case. Very "slicey" grind too.

I think the only thing I do not like about it, is there are a couple hot spots for the heel of my hand where the clip mounts. Easy enough to give a light sanding and smooth it out some. This is not uncommon for me though. I have slightly larger hands and many knives that have the "deep-carry" clip that has the bend close to, or extending out over the end of the knife, presents a hot spot situation for me.

I haven't carried mine in a while, cause I've been playing with too many other new ones. I am glad you bumped this thread. It made me want to carry mine soon. Maybe I will have a Scorpion Saturday. :D

Check back when you get the knife and see how you like it. Oh, and do not forget the pics. We love pics on this forum! :D

I have a Scorpion and it has been one of the best knives I have ever owned!
