Guys here is a one off variant of the amazing Khukuri project
The originals sold out in 18 hours and have proven to be an undertaking of epic proportion
He is about half way thru the original run and they have proven to be a very challenging and difficult undertaking
All will be completed soon but for Blade we wanted to do something really special
This Damascus integral with key hole handle is a one off that will not be duplicated
This knife will be on display at booth 159
For those that can not attend or want more info my email is in my sig line
Here is a description from Jason :
18 1/4" long with a 12 3/4" blade
W pattern damascus "all squished together" (Ozzy accent)
African Blackwood handle
6mm cabochon cut jade set in 18K gold top and bottom
Puzzle integral construction
This was an incredibly difficult knife to make. Flat ground, hollow ground, convex ground. This knife is more difficult than a quillion dagger. I have been cut 5 times by this knife already. Fortunately no stitches. Simply, it is two pieces. The blade and the wood. There is a pin going from top to bottom. The pin is covered with the 18K gold set jade stone. The gold and stone setting was made by Shelby Mihalevich.
I enjoyed making this knife because it was quite a challenge and once you go through a project like this you gain more knowledge about your craft.
Pics of something very special
The knife will be on display at Matt Diskin's Booth 159 @ the Blade Show
