Off the Map Custom Knives- Skog Kniven

Yep, like the others said, great review. I was browsing Brian's site last night looking at this--I like it a lot. I'm a big scandi fan. Can you do me a favor and post a pic holding it wearing a glove or mitten? We spoke last year about your braekar (spelling?)and I haven't bought one (yet) and if this one rocks as much as I think it does, I better start saving my money!

I'll snap a pic tomorrow

Very nice knife and I bet it feels great in the hand, beautiful sheath too, you must be a proud father! :D

That's a stunningly beautiful, strikingly functional knife. This thread should have had a drool warning!

Awesome review BF. It looks like you played with quite a variety of tasks with it, in the short amount of time you have had it.

I plan on making myself one, so if you have any feedback based on your usage, let me know.

Great knife. I like it.

Whats the inclusive edge angle and blade hardness?

Thanks.

The time tested woodworking angle of 25 degrees inclusive. The hardness is sitting at 60 Rc.

It actually felt pretty good with the glove on, I did a few chest lever cuts and made some fuzz sticks and there really wasnt much slippage.

Is it hard to get out of the sheath?

Every once in a while I come across a knife that really speaks to me, that grabs at my soul and somehow draws me to it. This is one of those knives. It is simple, functional, gorgeous. Lovely little knife! I want one in the worst way! :D

Great design. Great implementation.

When I first saw this, I thought of the Bushcraft NW knife, not like a copy, but from the same lineage.

I love it. Simple, clean, useful, and a real user, congratulations on a great design.
