Yea, what's the deal Mr. Foodie? You mean, you aren't using the super cool Shun Personal Steak knife?
For those that don't know, Shun makes an awesome personal folding steak knife.

You polish the blade yourself?
what is in the flask?
Not yet, but I was looking at either the 6" utility or the 8" chef's, only about a $13 difference in price for the larger. Do you have any?Have you used a Premier series knife yet?
That makes sense, the JYD does look like a folding Santoku now that you mention it. I need one of those personal steak knives! That knife is super cool. I love mine but when a bunch of people are asking to use the knives I bring I tend to take something I'm not going to be upset if it gets messed up or lost. My wife actually took the little G-10 Hawk to cut up stuff for my daughter. I use the JYD II as a sort of a folding santoku.
I know a couple people who own a few. I dont know what you will do with them but IMO they will be perfect for home use but I wouldn't recommend them for professional use. Great looking and super sharp, I want a set for my home.
Hmm, I was looking for the ones with the light colored wood. I just want them to last. My wife isn't gentle on knives and it's worth it for me to get something that lasts. Do you recommend the Classic versions?
