My friend and I went hiking in the woods today. It was a beautiful day.I just got a CDSJ and today was its first workout. I love this blade! I have noticed a bit of coating chipped and the steel underneath seems to be a satin finish.

Here are some pictures I randomly took when I was out today. enjoy !

The scales on the CDSJ are beautiful... It looks like tan/OD linen but I could be wrong..
It would be nice to see them on other Busse s

The thickness is around .20"

It is actually desert coating. The blade looks camo because I was batoning with it.
I like this new finish better. :D I would like another to make a safe queen..
By far this is my favorite straight handle SJ I have owned..

UJ - where the heck are you? That flora looks waaay too familiar - I am from just over the boarder originally and my parents still live in Lake Geneva.

So what park preserve were you in?:D:thumbup:

You are an inspiration laying such a beating on those 2 rare desert blades :)

Thanks! I guess Nut_Sak is also inspiring because the DABA belongs to him..:(

Maybe when the tan coating on the CDSJ gets a lot more craped up I will strip it. I want to see what is underneath. Looks like a very nice satin finish..

One thing for sure these days is that wandering around in the Park Preserves you never know who you might meet or what you might find.... More than a few bodies have turned up in them. See - I am familiar with that neck of the woods :)

I would at least be carrying a SJ! (perhaps with a HK or a SIG for back up)

yeah, kifaru is the SH$T. i can't recommend them enough. i have had about 4 of their packs. wish i still had them... but that marauder is my favorite by far.
