Not going to happen, gotta have the O-ring in there to cause compression.
metal to metal will only cause scratches to the ID and OD and will let air escape.....
even if both parts are hardened and lapped?

Don't know about a minimum. Just google how to make a fire piston. I'm sure there's tutorials out there.

I'm looking to order my first set of micarta scales Looked at tomars but shipping was going to be around 9 bucks. That seems a little steep where did you guys get yours? am I just being too cheap and should just go for it? or are there some other places that a little less pricy.
(mods if this is against the rules feel free to take it down that's fine by me)
