I'm gonna try to make one without the o-ring, just very precisely machined steel. We'll see if it turns out OK.

Not going to happen, gotta have the O-ring in there to cause compression.

metal to metal will only cause scratches to the ID and OD and will let air escape.....

Don't know about a minimum. Just google how to make a fire piston. I'm sure there's tutorials out there.
 
damn i want one of these. I like it even better than my 0550, and if its a beast like my 0550 i know ill actually love it more. I liked the flipper on the 0350 and wish my 0550 had one. well here it is

I'm looking to order my first set of micarta scales :) Looked at tomars but shipping was going to be around 9 bucks. That seems a little steep where did you guys get yours? am I just being too cheap and should just go for it? or are there some other places that a little less pricy.

(mods if this is against the rules feel free to take it down that's fine by me)


Never mind guys I got impatient and just ordered them, haha I'm excited to see how they feel.
