Josh, you are tougher with 1 leg than most people I know with 2. Really excited to see you up and on your feet as it were.
Congratz!

How'd you lose that leg man? sorry, childlike curiousity.

I had cancer when i was a kid. (lost the leg when I was 11). But I havnt been able to wear it for a few years because I formed blood-clots. I'm still only allowed to wear it an hour a day for now, but if all goes well...that will increase.

Best of luck to you sir.

Wow josh, I admire you. Keep us posted on your progress!

On an unrelated note, someone felt the need to tell me that "a 0.45 (he actually said zero point four five) is much smaller than a 9mm, so it's a lot cheaper and has less recoil"

Maybe a bad translation lol

Josh - awesome news! best of luck.
Meat - what kind of moron thinks 9mm is bigger than 12.7mm?
Dubs - sorry, I haven't been able to find anything that packs small and fits around my shoulders.

Hey guys, just dropping by to say howdy! Between school my photography I've been swamped! I've been blessed with my photography taking off! Hope everyone is well!

Josh good for you man, was the blood clot issue from the tight wrap?

take it easy, although I don't really know you, you seem like an over achiever and strong as an ox so in translation would be to do it your way :), easy does it..

take care,

you're right - I was even thinking 1/2 of 25.4 is 12.7 when I typed it - I must be more tired than I thought.

i never worry about such trivia since .44 magnum is the best :)

apparently some is recorded as killing a deer at 600 years with one. from a pistol. with a *4 inch barrel*

100 yds deer shots are apparent routine.

wow

"apparently someone" is Elmer Keith, and the story, as I understand it, is somewhat exaggerated. (i.e. the animal was already wounded which is why he shot at it at that range in the first place)

.44mag is good, but.... modern .45colt is king if you're staying with the classics. It'll do all the .44mag will, but with less pressure.
Silly misnamed round, like the .38spl (from the heeled bullet days). It should really be called the .43 magnum. Sounds wussy like that.
