So I took off work today to go hang out with Pointy and head down to New Graham knives down in Bluefield Virginia. Turns out it is a lot closer than I thought, and was a heck of a good time. For being a fraction of the size of SMKW, they had far more decent stuff in far less space. The owner(?) was there, and we got to talking to him for quite some time. Left out with an American Kami Ti Spork, and a small and large Tek Lok. Went and got lunch at their little diner/deli thing off from the pharmacy, and had a burger that I would put against the ones Guyon is always spouting off about any day of the week. Was about to leave, decided I needed to go ahead and get that Kershaw Blur that had been calling my name, so I went back in, we ended up talking to the boss man again for a bit, went back out to the car, and had one of the employees holler at us to come back in as they had literally just received a ZT 560, so we went in and shot the bull some more and checked out that awesome knife. All told, we spent about four hours there total. They had some Beckers, although not that many (they did have a few that had come in right as we left though) and some ESEE stuff. Some of the cooler things were the Microtech knife that is similar to the ZT 0777 that I got to see first hand, the ZT 560, and what seemed to be a Chris Reeve gladius looking thing a la the Project series he did. That thing was crazy. Here is a pic of Pointy holding it.
All in all, had an awesome time, and will definitely be going back. After we got done, we headed out to the gun stores so I could finally get around to figuring out which gun I wanted to get. Settled on the model and will probably be setting out to get one here in the next week or so.
