Off Topic....but very serious!

Hmm. Paul hasn't responded since making the first post. You think maybe someone should send a St. Bernard out to do search and rescue on him?

What locally we're calling our ICEPHOON...thus the boots. That surface is 3' thick ice.

The sleet storm that caused the above surface.

A fresh foot of snow and -28 degrees last night here. They are calling for -1 tonight with -5 wind chill. Of course they said that last night and it surprised everyone with the cold snap that came from no where. I'm so ready for spring!

Hang in thier Paul. You have a lot of shoulders to cry on here! By the way, I can't tell you how much I love that wallet you made me!!!

Many very nice pictures here!
I love winter as it is so peacefull and "clean" in a way!

Here's little clip from the winter of -98.
We had as much snow this year but luckily it didn't all come in just two days as it did in -98:

Just got back from the Little Rock show. Terrific show, by the way! My sincere thanks to those of you who tendered your sympathy to me. Being snowed in like that was a harrowing experience. There was still a bit of snow lingering around Little Rock as late as today when I departed (but none on the high ways ) Made it home just fine and did see a brief bit of "70 degrees" on the old truck thermometer.

I am going to take Ruth Jr's advice and stock up on Vienna Sausages and Ramen Noodles just in case this emergency visits me again.

Thanks again for your collective concern. It really, really helps!:D

PS: Magnus, that is about the same amount of snow I had......(mine just didn't photograph well);)

Paul

i bet if coop took the pic he could have showed all your snow better

last year we got a load of snow 44 inch drifts but this year so far maybe only 3 feet total (the worst part of the year for snow around here tho is late winter early spring so you never know)
