I broke down and just snagged one of the New Bushmaster 21s AR-15 Carbon Pistols. Anyone have any experience with one of these Carbon versions of the AR-15? I'm just happy to be in a buying stage again.... I had sold a good hunk of the Gun collection to help a friend with bills, and I gotta say a few new knives and a new gun or 2 have sure put a smile on my face.

Oh yeah...Skunk... when will I get my Meaner Street... :D

other than they are LOUD and put out a good muzzle-flame, no...
I would advise out door use only ;) :p
Bushmaster makes great products though. NJOY

Can you mount a Busse on it???

Mike are going to get envolved in the fight to block/reversre the Commie attack on gun owner rights?

You guys from Ahia are our Hoosier neighbors, but what in the world is going on over there with these outrageous anti-gunners. AND why are you guys and gals letting it happen?????

Sorry, the soapbox voice in my head got to the keyboard :o

Here's a pic... Noise is not a problem as I'm use to full auto fire I just can't wait to get some range time next week, my uncle has a registered lightning link so I'll get a chance to make it rock and roll a bit :D :D :D

Is that thing full auto?

If so, what sort of hoops did you have to jump through to get the permit?

"I am not Raden, nor a lawyer", but full auto arms are no more difficult to purchase than suppressors. The trick is finding ones for sale and living in a state that allows them. Like Idaho. Google for "Class 3" purchases.

That being said, this one is clearly not full-auto. Look at the selector switch.

Raden;

she is defenitly sweet

I am a Bushmaster fan myself, and dont think you will find a better AR model made by any other company that beats Bushmaster in quality and finish. I have fired many, many rounds through my 16'' shorty of various brands of .223 ammo ,,and i dont remember having it to jam maybe once or twice.

I have shot M-16's full auto before ,,and i love full auto also,,but that pistol being that light and firing a .223 round full auto will defenitly be a challenge.

but I would defenitly replace that standard firing pin with a Titanium firing pin,,especially if you are gonna go full auto with that baby

This thread makes me sad. I sold my Bushmaster M4gery a month ago.
:(

But I bought a Busse with some of the money.
:D

Nope it's not full auto now... but, I have access to a registered "lightning link" which can legally go into any ar-15 for full auto fire as long as I keep the paperwork with the gun. My uncle has around 10 class 3 weapons so it's never hard to get some full auto time.

I'm currently waiting on a supressed ruger 22 to get approved, and hopefully I'll have it before the new year.... and yes the process is a pain in the ass, more so since at any moment the ATF can knock on the door and ask to take a look at the weapon in question.

Hell here in California I can get arrested even looking at that picture and wishing I had one. It is unbelieveable here what you have to do to own a firearm and even more amazing what we are not allowed to buy here. I'd pay twice what you did for that weapon if I had a chance. Totally kills me how insane they are here with gun laws.

For example even though I am an 8 time expert with a pistol in Marine Corps and did duty as a Primary Marksmanship instructor for the same I had to go to a lame evening class on safe handgun ownership before I could purchase one. I know a lot of states have that but if I am not mistaken many states allow for military duty vice an evening class. Oh and with every gun purchase, even if you are buying it from a buddy you have to buy a cheapo cable lock for the chamber. anyhow enough whining enjoy you new toy. I sure wish it were mine. We have lots of varmints here :)

Okay. . . . okay. . . I gotta have one!!!!!!

I gotta have it NOW!!!!

Man that thing is cool!!!!!

Congrats!!!

IIRC the CarbonFibre that Bushmaster is now selling (used to be from a company named Carbon 15 I think) uses a different bolt and carrier. Will the RLL still work in it to produce full-auto? Anyone?
Just my humple opinion, but the flash and noise from a 6-7 inch barrel is just not worth it. I would go for a registered shorty (12-14 inch)if possible...but than again, this can be registered/carried as a handgun, so...pretty trick though

{rant mode = ON]Letting it happen? Even though the "opposed" people outnumbered the "for" people 6 to 1 or better, our $hity council went ahead and rammed it down our throats.

It goes into effect in 30 days, then people will have 90 days to register their "weapons of mass destruction", an action which will then prohibit a person from ever selling, giving away, or willing them to anyone. They must be surrendered to the city. [rant mode still = ON]

Nice piece Jay. Enjoy it while you can....
