Off to St. Louis here in a few. Wife has a business meeting there. Then, off to southern Illinois to go camping again. See you guys Monday night. I know, I know, thanks for the warning.

I love MRE's - lived on them for a couple of years in the late 80's early 90's -- the current version are even better. (really miss the dried pork patties, though - sausage flavored styrofoam, crunch them up like cookies followed by the dried peaches then chase with a quart of water -- instant full tummy!)
Bladite - there are several places you can find them for $60-70 a case of 12. $10 each is insane.

Damn.

Went back to the doc's office for a follow up visit, about some thyroid bloodwork (I may not qualify as a moose anymore, who knows), and while I was there, I managed to get a shot of anitbiotics in one buttcheek, and a shot of steroids in the other.

My butt hurts. That is all.

I love MREs! I buy some to take on the trail from time to time when I'm feeling lazy. I also take a couple to work now and then. We have a navy vet who thinks I'm nuts for liking them. He told me his "battle ration" was a coke, dbl cheese burger and lots of potato wedges. Looking at him, he must have seen a lot of battle, or atleast a lot of battle rations. MREs are worth the money, they aren't gourmet but definitely get the job done. How about a Becker MRE?! Gourmet, great value and they'd come with a Remora plus the trusty plastic spoon!

Yeah, I got more medicine than blood in my veins right now, and that is an eerie feeling, considering I don't use medicice very much.

Doc says I may have an overactive thyroid, and that might be why I am having such a hard time getting slim agian. We shall see.

Thanks Murph. Hows ya'll doin?

Bummer man, but if that's what's going on then at least by isolating the problem it'll be easier to get fit man. My problem is I'm just lazy.:D On that note, being the lazy 2nd shifter that I am, I just woke up so am feeling excellent!

Pardon my diving in.
My problem is with getting to do it. It's harder for me to leave the house to go to the gym. Once I'm there I have no problem. In fact I love it.

Exactly my problem. I went to the gym faithfully 6 days a week after the Corps up until a a year and a half agowhen I was called back to work. It just kinda through me off being on that horrible day shift. Now that I'm on 2nd with a baby here it ain't any easier. When I get to the gym I tear it up, but yeah my real problem is not being on 3rd shift and getting to the gym.

Gym buddies make getting there easier, that's for sure. I had a gym buddy for years, and we tore it up, like clockwork. Then, I had kids, and everything changed.

Ah, the good 'ol days. :D

After class, work, and homework, I don't really have the time or energy. Though I'm training 2 days on and 2 days off. It's been nice, and I've had some time to goof off. But scheduling my days off with my off days and keeping up with homework was a challenge this summer. My woods days took the hardest hit.

Stop whining and get that boat ready. We've got a 40 miler next weekend.

damn.

:D

Uh oh, fitness talk! There's always drama around here when fitness pops up. During the diet/ exercise contest, a former Beckerhead lost his # and got banned (but not because of the fitness thread, his banning was unrelated... Just happened during the same time as the thread). The latest one a couple weeks back stirred some drama as well.

That being said... [insert popcorn emoticon becuase I can't see it whilst on the iPad]

My coworker needs to quit trying to talk to me about his vasectomy. I hate Fridays.

tried telling him about last year's upper and lower endo where the hack never ended up getting the anaesthesia to work, hoping the horror would make him go away... no dice. the scissor thing is an awesome idea.

Hey, if any of you guys are free, would you mind getting on BeckerChat? I'm hanging out in there and there's no-one else and i'm bored.

thanks.
