I like that patina, Is that just what formed over time? Did you do anything specific to get it looking like that or is there a base patina that that formed over? I'm in the process of stripping my 14 and am debating if to let a natural patina to form over time.
 
It's been stripped for a long time and had some rust spots so I cleaned the blade and smeared some mustard on it.

I had to knock the "new" off of the BK-14 that Moose sent me this week, It tasted 9 different kinds of wood today. The Bk-2 did the heavy lifting.

Last night I stripped and patinaed the izula 2. This morning I quickly put it back together and ran out the door. Realized at work that it was dull from sanding. So I tried to think of a way to sharpen it without a stone. I found a snow plow blade and gave it a try. Its not shaving sharp but definitely useable. Just goes to show ya you can sharpen even without proper tools. I'm proud.

Ugh! i am hating the post office today. It was supposed to be my xmas today. A fletcher pocket kilo, rmdx le, a gobsprak armaggedon, a maxped 10x4, some fatwood that the seller of the gobspark included, and a super secret gift from a friend were all scheduled to arrive today. Tracking them yesterday put them all at the major hub in my area not 30 minutes from my house. That means they will be delivered the next day. Nope not a damn thing in the mail box. I hate the Post office today!
 
I've had stuff sitting in the sorting station in Tampa for three days according to tracking.

I also ordered 25 packages of bacon. I hope it gets here in time for the big.......well, nevermind.

Yup Macon Bacon. Cheeseburgers that is. The Bacon's cooking now. Then Ill sautee onions in the grease and put some on top of the burger, and the rest go into the pan frying the pirogies. Mmmmmm
