I knew I was missing something! Time to sneek out to the garage to partake in my Easter treat :D

Happy Easter!

I ran to the store this morning and seen a flyer that said

"420 Easter Sunday Party"

Im intrigued LMAO I wonder if they smoke a lefty and then have a ham eating contest or something HAHA

Happy Easter, Beckerheads!

I put about 1,000 rounds through mine (before I sold it) I wear a size L/XL glove and it wasn't that comfortable. My thought was that I won't be using it a LOT so it doesn't need to be that comfortable to save my life.

That is definitely something to consider. I read somewhere that concealed weapons are not supposed to be comfortable, they are meant to be comforting.

I've shot it enough to be comfortable with it, but don't shoot it for fun. I do have pretty large hands and can't get my pinky on the grip unless I use one of the extended ones, but then it doesn't conceal as well. Like CB, I don't think it'll matter much if I need to fire a few rounds in an emergency.

A friend from work and I went to an indoor range in Las Cruces, NM, today. We're doing some work nearby until Memorial Day weekend. :grumpy: But we have had some time off on the weekends at least. I let him shoot my Ruger and he also rented and tried an M&P 9mm and XD 9mm. He wasn't enthused with the Ruger but handled it reasonably well. He did say it helped him focus more on a good grip when he went back and fired the M&P again and his groups improved as a result. He did prefer the XD out of the three. He also rented the same HK USP .45 that we rented at the same place last year. I've got to admit it is fun shooting it, especially suppressed, but not overly practical for carry.

I (and he) shot my AAC Handi-Rifle in 300 AAC Blackout with 762-SDN-6 suppressor and a Ruger SR-22 pistol with a rented Tactical Solutions suppressor. Both were tons of fun with subsonic ammo. The bullets hitting the metal bullet trap at the end of the 25 yard range was substantially louder than either suppressed firearm and recoil was virtually nil.

Thanks for the input Greg. I have never shot a suppressed weapon before. I bet that is a good way to work off some stress from a crappy work week.

Have you checked out the Crossbreed Supertuck?
I've had mine for awhile now. Very comfortable. I like it....a lot!

I have read and watched reviews on them. They look like pretty high quality holsters. The reason I am thinking HH is because of the suede backing and the option to carry IWB and OWB.

But then you don't get another gun. How does that make sense?!? lol

I'm a very portly fellow and the way I'm currently shaped IWB doesn't work for me. Plus, more guns. Gotta collect them all!

I am rather portly myself, so that is something to consider. Have you heard about Nate Squared (N82) Holsters. They are supposed to be pretty comfortable and well suited for big guys.

Thanks for the input everyone. I don't have much opportunity to talk guns IRL, so it is great to read the input and experiences of my friends on the web.

That's what I thought at first too, but then I realized he's smarter than that.

Thank you ..lol No unsheathed blade facing out on a drill, for me !
The guy is seriously lucky that he didnt get dead. The Junglass is not a blade to be taken lighty.

'Twas fun sitting around the fire this evening.
Man, I could go for a good evening like that! I'm supposed to go to a "baby shower" for the dad this afternoon, they are having it at the Schlafly Tap Room, good times shall be had I'm thinking... Beer, Darts, Billiards, Lamb, and some AMAZEBALLS fries.

I just had a big rant written out about my boss and his kids, but I deleted it. Just typing it out seemed to help a bit. Just to get it off my chest I just get annoyed with them lately and today didn't help. The cab of the semi was covered in soda when I got to work....my boss made the mess and I ended up having to clean up after him again. His kids put a few scuffs and scratches in my new pickup last night when I was working. I'm going to try be nice about it, but I sure as heck won't be the one paying to get it fixed. The scuffs are an easy fix, but i think the scratches are deep enough that painting will be needed.

Now I believe I'll have a beer.
I believe you need a beer too! I'm drinking my morning cuppa cuppa. Sorry to hear about the trucks. Definitely let him know that his family screwed the trucks up and it's on him.

I might have seen one.... or two, but there are no pictures from this trip. You'll have to use your imagination. Murph never did show up, but we managed to put the udder hurt on 5 growlers of fine beer that Murph would have appreciated. You know..... If Murph appreciated things in the traditional sense. I'll also say that Todd grills up a hell of a cheeseburger.
No worries, I have a good imagination. That said I'll have to try one of Todd's burgers. I love a good grilled burger! Few things in life are better than a simple good burger, grilled over an open flame, topped with carmelized onions and cheese.

Happy Easter! I cut myself. :(
You really need to stop doing that, you start life with 6 qts of blood, it renews itself however NOT if you get letting it out.

I have a total of zero Stiches and zero Staples, my sister on the other hand........
Wait, you cut yourself AND your sister? Dude...

On the train. See you guys in Florida.
Have I mentioned I hate you?! You have one of those WICKED awesome jobs... Are you going to be broadcasting again from the boat? or is it a ship?

LoL that sounds like an amazing idea! For my birthday a few times I did that then went to all-you-can-eat restaurants. Its an awesome but dangerous combination. Last time was Montana's, I got the beef ribs. I think I ate an entire cow that night hah

So, as we all know I'm a large fellow, I carried the LC9 IWB in a Galco Stow-N-Go holster. It didn't print nearly at all even with the extended plate. To be fair I could also conceal the M&P9, not as well, it would print though it was obvious I was carrying then.

Damn, today is a first. I just offered to buy the Tradewater that Ralphtt has for sale. I think that knife was meant to stay here anyway, it was one of the prettiest Tradewaters that has come out of the shop and it pained me to sell it. But it was in fact a order. I will be excited to get it as long as he doesnt mind selling it back to me. First time I have ever bought one of my own knives on the secondary market.............Still looks like he's got a beautiful matching M 18 available for a hell of a deal.

Was it cheaper than what you sold it for? LMAO! It was a very sexy set up bubbas you're lucky to get a TMHun.... wait a minute?! You don't have a Tradewater for yourself?

That curled maple really looks nice Todd  I like the Hornets you did for Jerry in it.

Back in my hard-rock full-goose-loony street-fighting days, I hated/feared "little guys" much more than the dudes my size or bigger... Those little bastards are sneaky and mean, and typically they have a giant chip on their shoulder... that's a dangerous combination... :p

back in college I was the little guy at the pawn shop I worked at..... :D

The Beckers finally crowded these off brand knives out of the safe . . . guess I'll sell them . . . ;)

hmmm...
that M18 is tempting - how many bricks of .22lr would you take in trade? (only half kidding - PM me if you want to talk about it)

nice score Todd - hope it works for you.
and Happy Easter for all it concerns (and happy late Passover for some of you others)

The only Tradewater I have is the one that placed second in Ethan cutting comp. As far as price, I wont discuss what I charge my customers. But I will say this. (And your well aware Cbear) that I always treat return customers the best I can as far as discounts. Ralph has been a good customer and bought many pieces from me. (More than he has for sale) so, if he is satisfied with those prices. I couldnt be happier for him if they sell.
