So anyone here got a band saw and could do me a favor?

I designed a knife and its about 10.5" OAL and less than 2" at the widest point.... Id like it cut out of any scrap wood so i can get a better feel for it before I pay to have someone create this thing.

I would mail the design to you, and could put a few dollars in the envelope for your troubles.. Or I have an extra SAK keychain I could send to you with the design if you prefer.

If anyone could help please let me know and thanks guys

This its nowhere near my first extended stay this year but were gonna be about 4 miles from any civilization, so i wanna be sure I'm good to go.

You have your redundancies covered. I mean, from here I see a bit, a fire steel, and a book of MRE type water "resistant" matches. I assume that black roll above them is tarred nylon twine a.k.a bank line in Canterland.

All I don't see is a torch. You need to have good lighting available at ease. A head lamp and1 or 2 others. I'm sure you've got that covered too though.

For some reason, my Lansky started dulling my blades instead of actually sharpening them. Used the stones freehand and that didn'g give any problems so it's something with the rods, I guess. Strangely enough, they're not bent or anything. Anyway, pulled the trigger on a DMT Aligner. Was thinking of buying a knife but what's the use if you can't sharpen them very well.

Have you washed off the rods lately? They get all full of metal and stop working right after a while.
 
Guys, it finally feels good out here, cooled off a day or two ago, in gunna pitch a tent and nap outside in the shade

Supposed to be in the low 70's, to high 60's for a week here. My kind of weather.

Yes, bud sadly my tent tore setting it up. Its dry rottted.

I CNT complain, its a cheapie I traded of my brother about 15yrs ago. So I got its use out of it.

Still it harbors sentimental value from camping out when she were kids, trekking through the woods to find a cove in the trees.. I'll probably hoard it like everything else I won't throw away.

Yes I would hope so but that's not what it plainly says.

And this is viral lol, my gf saw it on face book yesterday.

PS, a robin just landed right next to me, unaware there's a human in the tent. Gotta love outside :)
