Those two are nice for sure.

Yea I've never really been big on the classic pocket knives either but I find myself wanting to buy one of those Ka-bar Classic Dog's Head Coppersmith knives....... like really bad.

Any of you have any experience with them?

Biscuit has one I think. I looked one over at SMKW and really should've bought it.

Those look like pretty standard old-school cutler's rivets. I'll bet you a nickle they're green and corroded all the way through, and the tang is fairly nasty. You gonna refurb it or just sharpen it up and use it as-is?

not sure what I'm going to do with it at this point. The entire thing is kinda sticky at the moment so I'm going to clean off the aged meat juices, sharpen her up and the see how she cuts... This is my first ever cleaver so I really want to get it working fast so I can use it.

How did it feel? I'm leaning more towards the larger one, But I'm worried it might be kinda heavy?

I'm the wrong guy to ask about heavy. I'm pretty sure most ultra light hikers are just weak. Honestly, it's not gonna break your hip. It'd be a good pocket carry.

Thanks. I'm probably just gonna bite the bullet and order one next week, Been Eye balling them for a while now. Haven't found much info on them or any reviews but I'm sure its awesome.

i think we need a group buy of those giant swiss army knife clones :D

you know, the $5 :) where's GIBBS, he knows these things. heck, he got them from wossname of the secret military society

Besides for my disgusting foot, has anyone ever seen anything like this? I'm thinking perhaps a spider bite. The night of the bike ride I posted, when removing my boot and sock, my foot itched. Scratched it, no biggie. A few days later it looks like this. Now, my boot has irritated the shit out of it today from walking, but it looks to be getting worse. I soaked it for an hour and a half in Epsom salts last night, and put an antibiotic cream on it. If it looks worse tomorrow, I guess I'll go see a doctor. Been trying to avoid it, as we don't have insurance at the moment:

If I was to guess Dubz, I'd say some kind of bite. AIG would know for sure but he has been absent as of late as he is travelling.

Kind of a shit night over here. So, I heated up Chicago style Giordanos pizza

And steroids for you! LOL I am no doctor, but it looks like a rash/allergic reaction over a spider bite. Once again... not a doctor... if it keeps getting worse off to the doctor with you for some yummy steroids...

On a side note... look what happens when I Google search your foot....

....Neat.

:D

CB that is a sweet blade!!

Warrior get it checked out bro! dont want to lose that foot!

Hope it heals quick for ya.

Got it soaking again as we speak. Soaking in Epsom salts seems to be a common remedy for spider bites. We'll see...

That right there is why men should never wear sandals.
