Off topic: walking assistance.

I don't think pix are available except as on the flyer. You have to be on their Special Projects mailing list to get it.

I'll see if I can post a pic.

These are drawings, not real photos, so season to taste with salt.

Regular Blackthorne stick, $99, Premium $149, UPS $7.75.

I might one day get one even at those prices, if it were perfect for me. I ain't buying a pig in a poke, though, not at those prices.

Rusty's helpful hint for the day:

"Pray in the bathtub. Being naked and in hot water improves your listening skills marvelously!"

Rusty,
FWIW - I went with one of the Canemaster hickory canes when I was recovering from the operation(s) for the foot and leg breaks that ultimately cost me my LE career. I spent a LOT of time using that cane daily, and have nothing but great things to say about it. They custom size it for you, mine fits me perfect, just like a natural extension of my arm/body when leaned upon. The martial applications are fantastic also, I quickly found that a number of techniques from tonfa/PR24 and jo staff fell right into place with my cane. Even though I no longer need it for support, mine still stays in my Jeep with me...

As a walking aid, a martial tool, or both - Canemasters makes a great product!

Thanks for the pic, Doc. Maybe I'll pass the info along to my dad, who is currently in the market for a "trekking pole". I've never seen him do much trekking, though.

I appreciate the recommendation. Still thinking - maybe if I epoxied and wired several rows of sharks teeth to the shaft.

How about just applying a bumper sticker to the shaft, say one that says " I'm on Prozac and I have an Uzi "?
