I realize this forum is designed to write about dealers and not customers but I want to throw in a very positive story.

Daryl Gillen of Silverdale, WA returned part of an order. In error, we credited his charge card with the full amount of the order. He called yesterday to point out the error and ask us to hit his card for the amount we should not have credited him. I want you all to know this show of honesty and integrity is not that common in modern day America.

I deal with frauds, thieves and liars every day in the e-commerce business. It would amaze you. It weighs heavily on someone like me. Daryl's honesty has restored some faith in humanity.

Thanks, Daryl, for showing some integrity. I hope you can spread it to others. The world would be a better place if your behavior were the norm.

Indeed it would. Bravo Daryl, it's truly amazing how much a very small act of kindness can improve the lives of other people. The little things add up when you're talking about good things as well as bad.

Good for Daryl.

Fred, thanks for posting this. Does daryl hang out here on BFC, and if so, do you know his handle?

This forum is for that very purpose; even dealers can post here about their good, bad, or ugly experiences with customers. And, quite frankly, I'd like to see a little more of that kind of thing here.

Thanks again, Fred.

I'm glad it's OK, Mike. I don't know if Daryl uses this forum or not. I just didn't know where else to post it. That reminds me, I need to get a free knife and some T shirts in the mail to him. Take care.

That's is truly a good note! Low and behold...there are still good people out there! (no offense to the good fellas)!:)

Fred,

Thanks for sharing that story with us. We also have our share of bad experiences from time to time and its great to hear of positive ones like this.
