Office knife...

If you can find one, the original Spyderco Mouse. Every girl thinks it's cute, especially once you tell them the name.

I dont know. I am still interested in the Police. I dont have any serrated knives anymore, and I kinda miss them. I gave one away here, and another there... and pretty soon all my buddies, and prior-girlfriends, have really good quality serrated and partially serrated blades.

Perhaps I should get the police... or maybe a Spyderhawk... I have been wanting one of those for awhile. Maybe I should get 2. A plain edge and a serrated...hmmm. Yeah...
Man, I've got both the BM710 and a lefty SS Police, and I'd never choose to use either in the office. I think a lot of sheeple would find the Police even more intimidating, especially with the serrations. It's a knife that has no intentions of hiding the fact that it wants to cut anything that gets in it's way.

I think someone already mentioned it, but the CF Delica is a sweet little knife with good steel. I just bought both a PE and a SE version, both lefties.

Like Tardis, I carry a Jester just for those times when a larger knife might freak someone out. For the money these are great little knives, and they are especially good at cardboard boxes.

BTW - finding a lefty Police will be hard. I was lucky enough to find one about 4 years ago. I just did a google search, and 2 of the 3 hits were want ads. But, if you really want one, it's worth searching for.

I think you had better get a Police model, whether you choose to use it at work or not...they are just such a fantastic and appealing design. In serrated edge they are just so...riiiiiiight. :p

I once got crap about a 1 inch bladed scalpel. It wasn't even out of the sheath! First reaction was "OMG HE'S GOT A KNIFE". The idiot then grabbed it and THREW the now exposed scalpel at several people. To date EVERY blade I've used in publicish places has drawn stupid remarks. Hell even compass points have drawn stupid remarks, usually by people who shortly stab me with them.

Any knife will do. Keep it legal. Use it in private if possible. If anyone asks what its for say "for cutting things". Talk slowly and calmly. Two hand open in front of sheeple. *sigh*

I must highly, highly recommend the Spydie Q. I EDC'ed one for about a year as my only knife owned. Even school teachers didn't raise eyebrows at it. Girls like them too. Nothing but compliments and "that's rhe coolest knife I've ever seen!" And it can handle much more than you think. Trust me I've cut carpet and everything. And never again have I gotten one hundred percent positive comments from a knife. (I got a "Now that's a weapon!" from family friends towards a Meerkat)

Actually... a Q might just work :) Good suggestion. I just assumed they were collection pieces.

Just started carrying a Dragon Fly and I'm liking it a lot, nice size, light and inexpensive :D

These are all very nice and will fit the bill. Caly has the longest blade at 2 and 7/8". Do some searches to find the best prices... New Graham and www.bestknives.com and www.1sks are good places to start.

BTW, these are in order of MY preference :D

Edit: Sorry, the Spur is RH clip only, but the rest are all ambi.

To those of you with CF Delicas, how does the carbon fiber resist scratching? Thanks.

Just LISTEN to it...."k e e - w e e".....sounds so cuuuute. And a few cubicles over, if someone overhears you saying "this is my keewee" they may think you're talking dirty and come over to see.

THEN after you get the Kiwi......get a FAIRBAIRN-SYKES for a paper spindle on your desk. And a fairly dull MACHETE for a back scratcher. A bowie for a paperweight wouldn't be bad either. And never forget that a compressor and a STAPLE GUN would outperform any other fastener in the office.

BUCK UP MAN! Get the Kiwi......AND the other stuff. Be office manager before you know it.

 ;) :D

my CF delica has been my edc for a year or better, and it has VERY few minor scratches on it. i dont baby it, but i do use it as a light duty, office knife. for me, its probably the perfect light edc out there. its thin, light, good steel, 3 inch blade and the overall design is just right.
