Office People EDC

I work in a weird office environment. I usually deep-pocket carry my knives as I don't like the attention. That being said I don't generally discriminate - today I have my zt0200. Another day I might have my Emerson CQC15, I also really love carrying my BRK (ESEE) Zancudo. Just depends on whether or not I wear jeans or slacks.

I'm a lady, and I work in an office, and this is what I carry.

I use the Opinel No. 6. to cut up my lunch, or use around people I don't know that well. I use my Griptilian around my friends. But for the most part, everyone knows I'm a knife person, and it's ok. I don't have an extreme personality, and I treat everyone with respect, so I have no real issues with carrying

I work in an office of about a dozen folk, and there are three Spyderco EDC here daily. My G-10 Endura4, a Dragonfly, and a Gayle Bradley. Another carries a Gerber. The rest have zero interest, but have no problem coming to one of us for help.

Normally one of my little Beckers (BK14 or BK11). I would also have my Griptilian on me as well.

My office is so restrictive about its no weapons policy that i was told a leatherman micra may technically qualify as a "weapon". But i carry it any way, they can take my micra when they can pry it from my cold dead keychain ;)

I typically carry either my techno or my DF2 in zdp-189. I also have a SAK cadet or opinel #8 in the bag, if I really need to be cautious, but generally, I don't make a big show of carrying or using my knives, and I don't flick them out or try and attract attention. I use them to do a specific job, and then put them away. That way, if anyone asks why I carry "that thing", I can say "so I can cut apples/open packages/etc." Most people don't mind.

The only thing I find to be to much is when I start carrying fixed blades openly or firearms openly. In all seriousness at least for my office a regular EDC that I would carry everyday around town works. As far as blades 1-2 folding knives and sometimes a multitool or SAK.

Nice to see someone else carrying a flashlight, mine's a very battered Fenix E11. You don't realize how handy it is until you start carrying it, and then you realize that you're using it at least once every day, even after the glow of a shiny new tool wears off.

I still haven't figured out what my total EDC package should be. I have a knife and a light but probably ought to have some kind of multitool, just not sure where to put it. Running out of pocket space... as I said in my previous post, I used to carry a SAK but the only things that I seem to be able to keep in my pockets without a clip are my cell phone, money clip, and aforementioned flashlight... anything remotely slick falls right out when I sit down if I'm wearing khakis.

Vic Cadet if you want to play it real safe.

I second this. This is about as innocuous as you can get while still being classy and useful. I carry mine to church :D

For me, my personal office EDC is a Benchmade Doug Ritter Mini-Griptilian, and a Wenger EvoGrip S16. As someone else mentioned, brightly colored (read-not black) things help.

Great little light and only takes 1 AA. I think I use my pocket light more in one day than my knife knife.

In my office setting, I usually go with a BM 530-1303, or my BM 940. Recently, it has been a BM 730-1301, as it's a new acquisition and I want more pocket time with it.
