skblades skblades , I can understand how you might have felt rushed in putting together this poll, but it really is very important that all the reasonable options are offered. If this poll isn't right, the rest won't be either

I would definitely prefer a typical Jack Knife configuration. The Clip and Sheepsfoot in the same end if it is at all possible. That would be a totally unique knife as I do not believe that Buck has ever offered this before! Someone with more experience with the brand can feel free to correct me on this, I am not a Buck expert by no means. :)

Sorry, I'm not sure how it could be rectified in the next round? I'm not sure where the idea of another Equal-End Jack even came from
Seems fairly simple to me. If the 2 bladed option wins, then we simply add an opposite end vs same end to the next round of polling. Am I missing something?

yes.
It's hard to vote for a 2 blade as I only want that if its both blades on the same end. (Jack)
If it's blades at opposite ends (pen-like the 2015) I would rather go 3 blade.

The idea came from me. Charlie made the suggestion later. Would having the sheepfoot on the same side affect the price? Would same side or opposite sides affecting the voting over 2 or 3 blades or could it just be voted on later if 2 blades wins?

skblades skblades It would be helpful if there were relative prices listed in all of the polls. If something is more or less expensive, it might influence some votes/purchases. In the blade steel poll, relative prices would be especially helpful.

Many of us are voting 3 blade over 2 blade on opposite ends, when we would otherwise vote 2 blade jack over 3 blade.

Conveniently, the pricing is built in to the order of the steels on that poll. I will go make a note of it. It is already listed least expensive to most expensive. As for this poll, I'm trying to work out a way to restart it and get this "Jack" option clearer. Standby!

Will definitely change my vote from three to two blades if the same end Jack becomes an official option. Won’t vote two bladed otherwise.

Thanks for being accommodating SK!

Awesome.
You probably had no idea what you signed up for.:) Thanks for taking it on and I think it will be worth it in the long run.

Coming into the discussion 4 pages late but I do like the idea of same side jack clip/sheepsfoot. I'll buy a fourm knife either way just because I like this forum and its fun to participate but if I had my 'druthers' its a jack.

As a fantasy I was hoping for a Clip/ Warcliff choice in a two blade format. But, can be happy with sheepsfoot also. Actually, I have a couple of two blade 301s I have modified to opposite end Clip and Sheepsfoot. I was doing this because I just seldom use a spey blade. ( The 303 is the better whittler's knife to have a spey.) The knife feels better in my hand with push cutting pressure in the two blade format. But, in using factory sheepsfoot blades the tip will likely ride too high for some peoples liking. Including me. If a standard production sheepsfoot is used the owner will likely end up grinding on the tang foot to lower it slightly, and this effect will only increase as the knife is sharpened. In the 3 blade configuration the sheepsfoot is the middle blade and the spey blade protects the point slightly. I still will take my chance's because I like the slimmer and lighter 2 blade 301, but if you want to be a traditional traditionalist then better vote for the 3 blade. I would hope the blades are placed on the traditional factory ends. In the traditional sense then it would just be a 301 with the spey removed, not blade jumbled around... 300Bucks

Generally, while in Traditional forum, I am just a member. But, if no mod gets back to you let me know and we will lock thread. Specially, since I got my comments in at the last....ha 300Bucks
