This is just ridiculously awesome. I am going case shopping for future sniper missions.

Where's the 10/22??

I voted mosin. obviously.

10/22 is by far my favorite .22 rifle. Volquartzen hammer kit and some tech-sights and that bugger can SHOOT. Would like to get a take-down model too. However my savage MK II TR is wicked accurate, I just need some better glass for it. $400 well spent.

I'd like to one day buy an aftermarket receiver and just build a 10/22 from scratch.

how can there be one? this is an extremely complex question...are we just saying there can only be one

.223 howa 1500 varminter

.308 Mcmillan

.300 WSM Browning A-bolt with Boss System

I also love doing AR builds....one of the funnest firearms to build shoot add stuff to and on and on

Lets add optics in there....I have been really impressed with the Vortex viper line (PST included)

and for even more of a budget glass the Nikon with the BDC reticle is really nice for the money

No 10/22 because it's RIMfire, not center. :)

The 10/22 deserves to be on a list, though.

official beckerhead .22 rifle
1. 10/22 carbine
2. 10/22 takedown
3. 10/22 target
4. Sr-22
5. 10/22 compact
6. 10/22 tactical
7. Other 10/22
8. I'm stuck with some other .22 but I wish had a 10/22

:D

For me it has to be the Winchester lever action. It's easy to carry in the woods and powerful enough to handle anything I run across.

M2HB - the KING of centerfire rifles.
(the Barrett M82 is a close second, though)

Winchester 94, pardner...

... and a BK9 and a huge freaking drink of sugary goodness. Suck it, NY.

Beckerhead #42

I have yet to select my *centerfire* bolt-action rifle.
It'll prolly be a 7mm-08.
So I voted with my Marlin .30-30.

Winchester Model 88 in .243. My dad bought it new when he got out of the army in '59. 5 and 9 rnd removable magazine anything that the crosshairs touch drops. Fantastic piece. The last time I took it out for antelope my buddy took his and then 5 minutes later I filled my two tags in 10 seconds.

Just as a clarifier - AR15 is a type of rifle, encompassing many brands - ie: RRA, Colt, Sig, etc

With a little quick math, the real winner is "American bolt action rifle" as the most popular. Probably in 30.06

I count 19 votes for American bolt action.

If scout rifle is included (not necessarily American made), the votes count 23.

But if we group together both classes of AR, the votes total 28.

By adding the Mosin to the bolt action group, bolt action rifles receive 28 votes also.

If categorized by action type only, Semi-automatic wins by far, followed by bolt action, then lever action, with breech loaders receiving no votes.
