Perhaps the spacers varied in the shape thru the years?

They did vary in different years. Some look like they are broken off, but they were made that way for some reason. I prefer the full spacer like your 103, or no spacer at all!

The spacer on my 118 looks exactly like the outer end may have been broken off. It extends out beyond the handle material and is cut at a slight diagonal.

As I noted earlier to Mike. It almost looks just like the one on his 120.

Well now I can sleep better knowing the 118 isn't defective after all. :rolleyes:

I had some real nice older ones once when I started collecting and I thought the knives were all mint except everyone of them had the spacer that didnt go to the outer edges of the fingerguard. I always wondered how mint knives could have the spacers all busted off :D But as it turns out I guess they weren't broke :D
