T tiguy7 , did BFH knives take that edge bevel way higher on that 110 blade? DM

Sorry for the slow reply. I missed this the first time around. That BFH blade is a custom Stellite 6-K blade made by Brian F. Harrison. When I went to sharpen it, his hollow grind wasn’t quite as aggressive as Buck’s. To get my required bevels (15 degrees/side), I had to remove some material.

My newest Buck(s), 112 Ranger Slim Pro. S30V w/BOS, Tan Canvas Micarta handles, (also available in Drab Green & Black G10) & 112 Ranger Slim Select w/nylon handles in various colors and "stock" 420HC sandblasted steel. I can't put the Pro down, it feels so smooth & natural in the hand, fits it perfectly and slips/clips into a pocket effortlessly, (comes out effortlessly too, NO snagging). One handed opening is a bonus, though I would have bought it even if it wasn't. Some people grouse about it being little hard to open, but after a little practice I found that it opens easily. The Slim Select is great too, just not so fancy. Both beat out the 112LT in my mind due to the addition of a well-designed belt clip which I find works better than any other knife with a clip that I own. The Slim Select and the LT are priced about the same, (very inexpensive for a US-made knife), but the Pro asks a premium price, but now that I have it I genuinely feel it is worth the extra bucks. I'll be gifting the Select this Christmas, I'll be keeping the Pro for myself. If the last coupla weeks are an indication, I think I'll be carrying the Pro daily for quite some time, (it simply is THAT nice).

My 9 month collection.
It all started about 10 months ago when someone had a used 120 General for sale on another forum. I did my research and shot him an offer which he declined. (Was used and nothing special but he wanted new price) So I really started searching Buck knives and stumbled on the BCCI. I found a number for a guy named Tim Lindsey and gave him a call, it was Easter Sunday. And the rest is history. I will say Tim is a great guy and loves to chat.
I did buy one more after this pic was taken and their was no way I was going to get them all out for another pic. A 532 that fit between the 531 & 535.

Thank you. I think I’m done buying for awhile. I know, easier said then done.lol
I shutter to think what Bill's collection might look like if he lived as close to the factory as you, Mike! You both have done well in a 'short' time and have wonderful collections! Preston

When I was in high school, a couple kids had 110s, but I couldn't afford one. As I got older and able to afford one, I instead bought more expensive knives. Thought I should have one, so I put it on my Christmas list. I can easily see this as the start of a collection.
