My uncle passed away a couple years ago and my aunt had me go thru some of his things. She was going to sell some tools etc. I purchased the tools, Goldwing etc. I came across his Buck 112 with a BPA Safety award on the sheath and blade. BPA is Bonneville Power Adminstration. Vietnam vet. One tough guy.
My aunt knows about my knife collecting and said to please keep it. A little slice of his past. Cool.20200514_234506.jpg 20200514_234450.jpg 20200514_234445.jpg 20200514_234423.jpg 20200514_234418.jpg

Very cool Mike. Thanks.
Your son will appreciate that I'm sure.
Sometimes I think the history attached to something is more valuable than the item.
Sometimes you see these older knives being sold and you wonder......

I bought an old car awhile back from a WWII vet. It was his baby, and he worked at the dealer when he came home.
I don't know If I bought the car or his story. I just fell in love with the old guy.
And then you wonder if anyone that didn't know them could ever appreciate the item as much as you.
But I don't care. Just knowing makes it special.
