Is there an official HI beverage? If not, I humbly suggest Blenheim Ginger Ale.

Ah...spicy. :)

I am also a coffee fan, however there is a drink I make with tequila and the juice from mesquite beans...hummmmm, good. I call it a Gila Monster.

Sorry all, but I think it definitely must be Heineken in honour of Uncle Bill! :)

of course. I prefer me Bruders home brew, when I can get it.

I also have a collection of good teas, not the crap ya get at the supermarket or a Starbucks, neither. I go to countries to get it, (like England, Ireland, Russia, for strong breakfast teas) So I have Europe covered, and my travelling Bro covers Asia for me, bringing teas from Hong Kong, Taiwan (highland and lowland varieties, best green tea you'll ever have, Japanese got it all wrong) and other parts oriental.

I used to like Spanish wine from the Xerez ( sherry ) region, and Hennesy V.S.O.P. Reserve back when it was under a hundred a bottle.

Alas, today my doctor decides those kind of things for me.

When I have to study I go for Squrrel brains through a straw... if you get the straw through the eye socket juuuust right....;) :p

Wasnt there a Khukuri Rum that came in khuk-haped bottles. I seem to recall seeing a picture some time ago on this forum. Has anybody tried some? Does it work like a 12" sirupati? or a 30" AK?

Or maybe i was drunk... :D

Ummmm. Rum. Rum and good ginger ale/beer is great, too.

Anyway, Unk, you can expect some Blenheim in about 5 days.

Count me in for a bottle of chilled Virgil's Brewed Root Beer...:P

Until something better comes along in the way of rum I will always think the Khukuri Rum that Howard brought to the 1st convention is the best I've ever drank!!!!

I'm really a single malt guy myself anymore although I used to be a big time beer drinker.

I'm really beginning to wonder about that too as the last couple of beers I've opened just didn't taste right.

Does beer get too old setting in a dark cool place? Hawk brought up a couple of cases of Shiner Bock at the convention here last year and there was a case plus left. Barb squirreled it away. I had her bring out a bottle for dinner the other night and it didn't even taste like beer, it was way too sweet!!!!
Maybe it's just me and the medications I'm on?

Even in a cool, dark place I have heard that beer is best drunk within a month after it is brewed.
