That is a beautiful knife! How did you put the gimping on so even? Thanks for sharing.
Thanks.
A guy at a machine shop did it with his grinding wheel. A very cool grinding wheel with very precise controls! I just showed it to him and asked him if he could do it and he had no idea exactly what I wanted but he put on his thinnest wheel (it looked more like a chop saw cutoff wheel) and then set the spacing and depth and was done in a few minutes. The machine is called a surface grinder I am sure you can find videos of one.

Wow, gimping, low rider clip, spacers. This is pretty much exactly what I want to do to my skylines. That is awesome.
Thanks.
Yeah, the Skyline is so close to being perfect no matter the price, that I had to make it perfect. It actually is not perfect as I am not thrilled with the clip. It is better, but the space between the screws and my jeans is too small and sometimes it does not carry all the way down, or it is hard to pull out. I also drilled some holes in the liner for fun. I used the bit I drilled the holes to tap the #2-56 threads so I doubt it actually weighs any less, but it was some more practice with that tiny drill bit in the hard stainless liner. I am actually carrying it right now, and its been awhile. I almost forgot how awesome it is! I would like to get a Spyderco wire clip and get it on this knife in the tip-up position. That clip is absolutely my favorite.

Hi Guys, I recently bought this ZT 0350 in ZDP-189 from another forum member and believe I now have the perfect knife to join my Interarms Walther PPK for EDC use. Now that I've cruised this forum, I've found the website of Mr. Phillip Dobson, so soon my ZT will be sporting scales to compliment my PPK. Earlier today I wrote of my experience with the ZT on the JK Knives forum:

The black one has the little fine scratches in it that everyone talks about.

The stonewashed has no little fine scratches. I would say the they fixed what ever caused that on the second batch
