And that's about everything I own made by KAI (USA or Japan)
I couldn't resist the nail clippers and trimming scissors ;)

How's the ripcord? Haven't seen many around

Amazon purchase. I like the blade a lot for the same reason I like the leek. The fine tip is well suited for delicate work. It's a nifty little blade, but it's nothing like an auto or assisted opening. A bit awkward to deploy at first, and re-"sheathing" is even more awkward. Co-workers find it more threatening than other similar sized edc blades, I don't wear a belt at work, and the sheath contraption is too bulky for my pocket, so it doesn't get a lot of edc time. I still like it though and don't regret buying it. In California anyway, you want a low riding pocket clip and a less threatening design to avoid headaches.

That's my only worry about grabbing one, is that strange deployment method/resheathing. Thanks for the opinion though, I really think it's one of those things you need to try out in person before ordering one.

Well then way to shut me up haha amazing collection!... So what are your favs

Thank you. That's not a super easy question to answer, but based on my collection it appears I really like the blurs, skylines, and leeks. I have a special place in my heart for the OD-1. I like the ZT boot knife and wish they made one a little bigger. I often carry the cheaper Kershaws since I don't stress about losing them as much. Once in a while I will lose one and then I'll buy another and then find the first one and end up with multiple copies.

Since I'm off work for a few days, I'm going to give the ripcord an extended spell on my belt and I 'll let you know if my opinion improves. The deployment is pretty fast once you get use to it, but I'm still working on the resheathing.

Sounds good, looking forward to your thoughts

I've been wanting a ZT for quite awhile, and when I found one at the local Army/Navy store it followed my home. This is a Model #301 Ranger Green/Tiger Stripe blades sans scallops. It's lightning fast, and locks-up like a bankvault. This one will definitely become my new EDC until I get a Grayman folder.

Just wanted to follow up with you regarding the Ripcord. After wearing it nearly constantly for the last few days, I have come to a few conclusions about it.

It is not comfortable to carry. I'm neither skinny nor fat, but the sheath (which rides pretty high) digs into me when sitting. It is intolerable if it's underneath my t-shirt. The more layers of clothing between me and the sheath, the better. In plain view, very few seem to give it a second look, so it doesn't strike most people as a weapon in the sheathed condition. The deployment issue seems to be less of an issue than I anticipated. With practice, deployment is as fast as any other knife. Re-sheathing is less important, but is still much less smooth than a typical folder that clips to your pocket. I like the blade itself and it lends itself to piercing easily. My only complaint about the blade is that the tip tapers down so fine (significantly thinner than a leek) that it's not likely to stand up to anything but the lightest duty use. I don't see this knife being practical as an EDC at least for my use which isn't very demanding. Overall, an interesting design, a worthwhile collectors piece, but for me, not durable enough or comfortable enough to warrant regular carry.

Thanks for the thoughts, and the pain of carrying it just for me :p

I think this has pretty much turned me off from the design. Seems like all of my thoughts/concerns are more or less true. I'm sure its fine quality wise, just not so much a design for me.

The blade thickness was pretty much the nail in the coffin.

Any 0350 aficionados know that this one existed? Me neither. Shot off an email to Knifeworks when I saw it asking if it was authentic. Ashley told me that they did have a limited run of them and it looked like they only got about 30 in. :D Still need a WW though. :)
