Official Poll: Most Popular Buck Knife Model

We’ve discussed this many times over the years, but I don’t see an official poll. Many, many models have been made. Of the classics, which one resonates most with you?

By far, I’ve bought more 112 and 112 Slims than any other model. My runner up would be the 700 series, specifically the 704 Maverick. A more perfect slipjoint has never been made.

I would guess the 110 has probably had more sales than any others. I don't know if it still out sells everything else or not?

Same! To me, the 112 is the perfect sized Buck. When I was a kid, I'd have said 110 in a heartbeat because I wanted to be like Bo and Luke Duke so bad with a sheathed 110 on my Kmart jeans.

Not to be picky, but the poll asks two completely different questions. First it asks for the most popular Buck model, then it asks which is my favorite. Not a big deal.

My personal favorite is the 112, but I think the 110 may be the most popular, and recognisable Buck.

To me, the 110 and the 119 as a pair DEFINE define the identity of what a Buck knife is. Although in 3rd place (edit: now 4th), I'm surprised how far behind in the voting the 119 is. It got my sympathy vote. By the numbers, the single model I have the most of is the 110. As a category by the numbers would be 100 series fixed blades. My most favorite categories would be pre-factory or original custom shop but they are both difficult and expensive to accumulate in significant number.

The 307 Wrangler is my favorite. But the 301 is no slouch either....

The 110 is so iconic it and every knock off that vaguely looks like it is called a “Buck knife” by almost everyone. Like how tissue is called kleenex.

The 110 is the icon, the 119 is second. The rest are way behind.

My current favorite is the 212

My personal favorites are the 110 and the 307. I could probably do everything needed with those plus either a 105 or Vanguard. I wish the 105 had a larger handle for my XXL hands. Just my humble opinion.

If the Buck 118 was on the list it would be my #1 choice. I’m evenly split on my #2 choice, either the
301 or the 110. For the poll I chose the 301 because I’ve owned it longer than my first 110. OH
