Just received mine today, and I must say, I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THIS KNIFE!! :thumbup: :thumbup: I rarely type in all caps, if that's any indication of my excitement. Fit and finish is superb on mine, great in a variety of grips, blade shape is fantastic (especially since I wouldn't have come up with it on my own), and the size is perfect. The kydex sheath holds the knife well enough, I'm not too worried about it coming out. I can get a great 3-3.5 finger grasp on this knife, and the ramp up area to the spine is perfectly placed. I already know this knife will provide me with great control.

I'll have more to say when I start using it. I'm REALLY looking forward to using this guy, it'll rotate nicely with my Izula.

ETA: I can get my finger farther up towards the tip while placing my thumb over the "K" for even better fine control of the tip. Didn't take a pic of it though, sorry.

I just got mine in Red G-10 last night. The red isn't nearly as bright as I'd imagined. It's a very attractive deep red color. I really like it.

This is one sweet little knife. I'll post pics later today once I have a chance.

I'm waiting for some Blue/Black G10 to show up....should have been here by now.


Plus, while this is a high priority....I had to take time to grind a few blades to send off to heat-treat.....(few=340 :eek: )

Now that they're off and gone, I can jump back on this Monkey's Back. :D

I'll take responsibility for having paid in full, up front. Last time I do it though. Really like Dan's blades, they're among my favorites. And in the end I usually end up getting decent customer service. But, I'm not up for having paid stuff that had already had a problem flagged bumped down the priority list. Have ordered a couple of other customs lately where I paid some up front, the rest on completion, they came through with no hitches. Seems like a better model. I realize this topic has come up before, not trying to start a whole debate, just sharing my own frustration and thoughts about future buying.
 
Are there going to be any of these left over? I might have a little spare change around the end of the month, and I'd like to have one of these to compliment my bushcrafter! :thumbup:
