Officially Converted

Welcome, I hope you enjoy your time here as much as I do. I was never completely into the one handers with the latest and greatest materials, but appreciated the functions and utility. It was hard to consider a non-SAK slippie as well. I learned over time that for the uses a typical EDC pocketknife is called upon to do, the traditional pattern slippies do it best. Now, it is a smaller traditional slippie in the pocket with a multi-tool in the belt. The 3.5" and smaller frame rides well in the pocket and is very comfortable to use for the everyday tasks. Let the multi-tool do the rest.

That is for sure, I use to be a slipjoint guy but it was like 8 years ago and then I got caught up in the fancy world of tactical knives. Glad to be back, it's true what you folks say about traditional knives having "soul" verses modern one handers.

Opening and closing slipjoints is quality time,
The feling in the hands, the sound for the ears, the sight when you look down at your knife in your hands is a small moment of meditation.

Bosse

Bosse, you're a genious. Thats the nicest way I've heard it put. Like everytime you open your slipjoint, its a mini-moment of meditation. A little moment to think about the thing for a bit in the process of your day. Kind of like a drink of cool water on a hot day, before going back to work.

Great thought Bosse.

welcome to the world of beautiful knives. tacts are for easy access but i've never seen one that was more than a blade & 2 slabs. i own about 35 tacts but would never show one off since they are just tools.i'm qualified on that comment since the mail brought a many hundred dollar tact today. but next week the stag beauty will be here to show my friends.

Hi my name is Eli.I received my first slip joint from Jerry Halfrich this weekend.I think I too have become a traditional folder aholic. Please God don't tell me this path leads to T. Bose.

It may well lead to T. Bose and quite a few other makers of exceptional quality Folders. i think Custom knifemaking is at it's Zenith, or all time high, for extraorinary quality.
you will find that within each piece resides a bit of the knifemakers energy or spirit and that this will be unique to each maker. it is so rewarding to own a variety of these 'positive energy' knives.

Welcome, although the addiction can be costly. Be sure and show off your new acquisitions.

I don't know about Bose but I do have a Shatt and Morgan File and Wire tested in my future, maybe something like a teardrop pattern.
