HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS :emot-yarr:

That is incredible!!!! I pity your poor hands!

This is more amazing proof of Busse's incredible heat treament to create near indestructible blades. Thanks for going to all the effort and sharing with us all!

Bloody awesome! :)

i might take you up on the posting part. there was a cord wrap handle on it. but the metal was cutting the cord and it was coming undone. so i just unwound it.

all of the pic's were taken after it was already cut in half. i do enjoy pic #2 where you can see the pump and bus through the body.

Just let me know mate, and we can arrange the file transfer.

Very impressive and I agree with Dave... you win! Well... at least until someone trumps cutting a car in half... :p

Too bad the metal cut up that beautiful cord wrap you made for the handle.
How much of the work did you do w/out "handles"?
Impressive performance!

WOW! I love threads like this.

What I'm most amazed about is how the edge held up so well!! I must have bad luck with SR-101. I've already chipped my MOAD and my Regulator chipped badly months ago after a long chopping session. I don't think I hit any rocks with either of them. I was chopping some pretty hard wood in both cases. It's one of the reasons why I miss SR 77. After long chopping sessions with SR77, I have always been able to fix the edge. I can't argue with the amazing edge holding abilities of 101.

the edge on KD may softer a little bit than your sr101 knives. so make it stronger , that is my guess.

That is damm awesome !!. Hail the car splitter .

That is a cool forun name, "the car splitter"... either that or "Shoulder-in-Therapy"....or "sore-forearms"...

Just joking...congratulations bro, that is pure research on how these blades can do just to our peace of mind...congratulations.

Oge my friend, you are crazy. That is some great work. Glad to see the KD still smiling. Maybe its still hungry and wants to start on the Bus in the background. Can't wait for the video.

going to see my tec friend today about the video's. this is what make make's all the work worth it. i'm glad everyone is enjoying the thread. the edge retention was a surprise. S series steel is a shock steel, but wow i had no idea. steve you are the man thank's for the lead at blade. hunter, i will let ya know about the file's. bema, the outter wrap lasted around 10 minute's. the base wrap around 15 minute's, the rest was done without any. that metal is hard on stuff. i'll go with sore-paws, how's that sound.

Oger, you have out done yourself this time:eek: THis is even better than the convertible you made last time:)

Absolutley incredible!

What also interested me greatly was the presence of what appears to be CBT's underneath the coating.

I was also shocked that is appears that all you really did to the KDH was strip a little paint off:eek::D

Bravo!

Oge not sure if you recall but I was smack talking you prior to the hawks coming out stating I would whoop mine harder then you. It now appears as though I was completely fos and living in a dream world. You rock bro.
Gettin out of bed and headed to the L store to buy a peeber in your honor. Cheers!

Bro! You totally ROCK!
When the haters talk the smack, I'll just refer them to one of your threads. Nuclear tough blades for my Nuclear tough Bruddah! You freakin' RULE!
