Was just curious if anyone has one of these...and if so, if they'd be kind enough to post a pic aside some other common blades, also if someone could give me an o/a length and a blade thickness...I'm a huge fan of the ag russell woodwalker, and would like something in carbon steel with a more solid handle...I was thinking about picking up one of these and making up a back pocket sheath for it, just wanted to see if the size was right. Thanks...

Sorry, Old Hickory...years of writing patient care reports in the back of an ambulance has turned me into an abbreviating monster...my wife cant even understand my love letters.

Bark River Micro-Canadian with Old Hickory Scales?..I thought OH meant one handed at first.

Good luck,:)

Yep, guessed I goofed up the title...I was actuall looking at the paring knife made by the company old hickory, it's a cheapy carbon steel American mora type deal..

I have a few of the 4" models. The blades are quite thin. Probably about the same thickness as an Opinel of the same size. The tang only goes half way into the handle and is held by two pins. They are great for food prep and light work.

Could make a pretty awesome traditional styled neck knife or even paired up with a 6" or 7" butcher mouintain man style

i have an old hickory skinner that i converted into a nessy and it has a full tang and about a 3/36 thickness. i think i may have seen a photo for one some had kydex made for. i think it was pitdog but im not for sure.

I've got one Riley, it's a great little blade. I'll try to snap a pic later, in hand and with some others. They sharpen up like the devil and are very light, making for great neckers. They also spark a firesteel well on their spine. Great little slicers.

John..This is a more modern look..but I just got 2 of these..they are very cool little knives..around 3/32" thick or less, and very sharp..they cut up food like crazy..I was scared for my girlfriends hands, as she skinned some fruit.. they are so sharp!!! The sheath is of a good quality as well. I will take some pics of my pair soon..here's the link to the thread I bought them from. Gene
