Oh My Garsh!!!! . . . . It's The Coolest "SantaGanzaaaaa" Of All Time!!!!!!!

Anyone else noticing that Bladeforums is already getting slow? This is gonna be a fun week :D

I have noticed it being slow the past couple of days.

I'm new to this Mustard. I've dealt with Scrap Yard and Swamp Rat but never Busse. Does Jerry post something in this thread and everyone rushes to see who can do it first?

That brings a whole new meaning to whiskey on the rocks.

I would think melted ice would taste better than soapstone.

Ah ye of little faith.

Soapstone is quite clean and doesn't have a taste...Seeing as you don't eat it and rather just stick it in the freezer after each use all it does is cool your drink.

Thing about it is water ruins (in my books, everyone has their own opinion) a good whiskey/scotch with the exception of a few drops to open it. So you get the cooling effect of the ice, but without the dilution/watering down that occurs when it melts.

It's a neat concept, I'm not knocking it.....soapstone just doesn't have a nice "ring" to it.

Sounds like you know a lot more about whiskey drinking than I do. (my expertise lies elsewhere;))

When I drink whiskey, it is room temperature out of the bottle. If I'm drinking whiskey, it's not for taste but for the side effects. :D

NO.

I know it can be confusing if you are just discovering Busse or lured here for the free infi - so this is what you rookies need to know:

The knives will be posted and sold from the Busse Company Store:

www.bussecompanystore.com

Go to the "order here" page - the Boss will add the knives there (now you get a SAR8 or Sus Scrofa but more will be added) - You should F5 that screen sunday afternoon.

You dont need to check this forum as all...

Hope that helps :D

But in all seriousness...If you aren't using ALT-TAB (Hold ALT down and then tap tab, then release ALT when your on what you want) you should start using it.

end key, then shift+home key has saved me a lot of time in highlighting. It's amazing how much effort and time a simple keyboard short cut can save you if you do a lot of computer work.

Thanks!

So he adds a few at a time......if you get one, your done......but if you wait......you may get a beast....or nothing at all.......right?

Does he give away free INFI often? Is it hard to snag one?

I already had an awesome Busse X-Mas thanks to Jerry and Amy so I will be here to try, but I won't be heart broken if I don't score. :)

The shop credit sounds good to me. :D

Okay, forgive me of my ignorance, but as you say The Great Boss will add the knives to the "Order Here" page. Then?

I will wait for the instructions of Santa Boss, but any further insight into what we might expect would be most helpful!

Thats just the name of it, don't let it fool you theres nothing "soapy" to it. People have been using soapstone for carvings for who knows how long, you might even recognize this soapstone (the outer layers at least) carving...

You need to educate yourself on good whiskey and how to drink it. By tossing in ice or adding water you can completely destroy a good whiskey, and I do mean destroy the molecular structure and basically turn it into something that isn't a fine whiskey anymore.

If you want it cooled or just to have the clinky glass use whiskey stones. A few drops per three fingers opens it up (and we're talking drops of water from a eye dropper). For me and my brand its two drops per three fingers to open it up, others it takes more and for some it takes less.

You need to learn not only how to shoot whiskey, but also how to properly enjoy it. Theres a huge step in sophistication between the guy who just shoots back a shot and a guy who sips a glass.

Plus I find that when you know a great deal about a drink and truly know how to savor it you can get a lot of bonus attention from a lady when you share some of that knowledge with her.

Sorry, but I most certainly DON'T need to educate myself on good whiskey and how to drink it. Like I said before, if I'm drinking whiskey it's not because I like drinking it.

And yes, I have sipped 23 year Pappy Van Winkle with my "wealthier/older" friends on special occasions. I think it is better room temp than cold, but what do I know about whiskey.? Not much, nor am I claiming to.

I don't think you can call me less sophisticated than someone who drinks fine whiskey from a glass rather than Jack Daniels from the bottle.

And that bonus attention from a lady crap, was hilarious. That sure isn't how I could convince my wife for "bonus attention"............Me: (In a deep sensual voice) "Hey baby, look how I drink this whiskey. I use this little dropper here to add just the right amount of water. Can I get some bonus attention?" :D

Is this post about drinking or something? I guess Jerry was drinking when he came up with the idea to give away INFI.

How about we find a nice medium so those of us who aren't around "LATE" can still get in on it :D

Or how about a 12 hour window where we all pick a item we want and then pick a number 1-10,000 (one entry per person) and then Jerry can use random.org to generate a number for each item and tell us the winners.

I still prefer the ganza way but if you wanted it to be "fair & equal" (whatever those words mean) you could do it the random way. Personally though I just think we need to keep the ganza and crash bladeforums from all the people pressing the secret bladeforums cheat code to see topics being written.

alt-F4 isn't the cheat code...no it isn't...don't press it...I'm warning you....Only hogs get to use it

Fair and equal sure as hell aint the HOG way!
